In May 2011, Spain saw a new and unexpected wave of street protests. Led mainly by youth, fighting back against one of the highest un-employment rates in Europe and a bleak future, and importantly against a political establishment for refusing to address these issues in any real way. I photographed the people who attended the rallies and who camped out at the Puerta del Sol plaza, in Madrid.
I asked them to write down the answers to two simple questions: Why have you come? What do you dream this movement will mean for the future?
